"The Queen of Mean" lives up to her name once again

In her will, the real estate billionaire, Leona Helmsley, left her white Maltese, named Trouble, a $12 million trust fund. But 2 of her 4 grandchildren got nothing, as she stated in her will, "for reasons that are known to them." Well I don't care what the reasons are - that is so absurd and extremely sad. But it gets worse, she also ordered that the mausoleum, where she is buried, be "washed or steam-cleaned at least once a year." She left behind $3 million for the upkeep of her final resting place in Westchester County, where she is buried with her husband, Harry Helmsley, and once the dog kicks the bucket "her remains shall be buried next to my remains in the Helmsley mausoleum." Wow - $3 million just for keeping her tomb pretty. I think that gives a whole new meaning to when Jesus accused the Pharisees of having whitewashed tombs - she is literally more concerned with the state of her tomb than she is her familial relations.
I guess it shouldn't surprise me though, since she became known as a symbol of 1980s greed and earned the nickname "the Queen of Mean" after her 1988 indictment and subsequent conviction for tax evasion. One employee had quoted her as snarling, "Only the little people pay taxes."
